From TikTok to Wrist: Turning a Beloved Dog Into a Custom Watch

Some watches tell the time.

This build started when a customer came across one of our TikTok videos and reached out with a simple idea:
"Can you put my dog on a watch dial?"
The moment he asked, I was interested.
After building hundreds of watches, I've realized something: the watches people wear the longest aren't always the most expensive ones. They're usually the ones that mean something.
And this watch is a perfect example.
The Idea
The customer sent us a photo of his dog, Tucker.
Rather than creating a busy design filled with details, he wanted the dial to focus on what mattered most — his companion. His only request was simple:
Keep it minimal. No markers. No unnecessary distractions.
The goal wasn't to create a flashy watch. The goal was to create something personal.

Bringing the Design to Life
Once the dial artwork was finalized, we started the assembly process. Every custom build begins with a blank dial and a set of components selected specifically for that customer.
One of the most satisfying moments is watching the dial transform from a flat design into a functioning watch. The hands are installed carefully to ensure perfect alignment and clearance.

Powered by a Reliable Automatic Movement
Inside this build, we used an automatic mechanical movement paired with a transparent case back.
The customer wanted to enjoy both sides of the watch — the custom dog portrait on the front, and the mechanical movement on the back. Because a great custom watch should be personal on the outside and interesting on the inside.

Why We Kept It Minimal
Many custom watch designs try to do too much. This one took the opposite approach.
No oversized logos. No excessive text. No complicated graphics.
Just Tucker.
The simplicity allows the image to become the focus. And honestly, the simpler the design became, the more excited we were to see the final result.

One thing people often don't realize is that a custom watch isn't just about the dial. For this build, the customer selected every component:
